Dear Bookham Bees

 

Community Coronavirus Care is a community help group which has been set up in Bookham, Fetcham, Leatherhead and Ashtead by kind volunteers to help people in the community who are self-isolating, worried about going out or require help with shopping, collection of prescriptions, walking the dog and to provide assistance where ever they can.

 

How it works:

Details of what is needed will be passed to the volunteers and you will be    matched with someone who can help. They will then be given your contact details and you can speak to them to get the assistance you need.

 

This is a volunteer lead community initiative carried out of good will and the want to help vulnerable people in our local area and to ease pressures on other services.

In addition, one or two members from Bookham Bees have advised me that they are more than happy to help fellow Bees who may be self-isolating and are on their own. You may require some shopping or would just welcome a chat on the phone to alleviate the feeling of loneliness. Most of Bookham Bees are good at chatting, just think of the buzz at our meetings!
